A Week at Palmilla Social Club: Taco Tuesdays, Peninsula Fridays and Sunday Brunch This Season

At 5:30 on a Tuesday evening, Sala 56 begins serving Baja-style fish tacos, slow-cooked short rib and confit mushroom, with house-made salsas, guacamole and traditional garnishes on the side. You can order as many as you like for 850 MXN. Entre Tacos returned on October 20 and runs until 10 pm. It's the first of three weekly fixtures that give a Palmilla week its shape this winter.

Up the hill, the golf club is in a quieter phase. The week has always had a social center, and this season it sits at Palmilla Social Club. For owners who play golf most mornings, the fixed dates this winter are on One&Only's dining calendar.

The fairways are in phase one

The One&Only Palmilla Golf Club bills itself as the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Latin America. Its 18-hole design runs as two combinations, Mountain and Arroyo, from the clifftop edge down through the desert arroyo. According to the club's own site, the 2026 season begins a set of changes with the design firm Fry Straka:

  • A full renovation of the Mountain and Arroyo courses
  • A practice facility rebuilt from the ground up
  • An entirely new par-3 experience, plus a chipping course and a putting course
  • In this first phase, Arroyo stays open for 9 holes or an 18-hole loop, with a temporary facility for long and short practice

For anyone who plans a winter around tee times, that means one routing for now, a temporary range, and new practice and short-game spaces still to come. The dining calendar is the part of the week with fixed dates.

Tuesday is Entre Tacos at Sala 56

One&Only describes Sala 56 as a bar inspired by the golden age, with Baja touches, signature margaritas, views and an evening crowd that gathers for sunset. Its daily hours run from 10 am to 11 pm. On Tuesdays the bar hands its evening to tacos. Guests pay one peso price and keep ordering.

The resort's event page uses Sunday-brunch wording to describe the taco night, so the Entre Tacos booking page gives the clearer picture. It lists the three fillings, the salsas and guacamole, and the 850 MXN price. Of the three weekly events, this is the lowest-priced and the most casual. It's the easy answer when friends text on Tuesday afternoon asking where to meet.

Friday is Peninsula Nights at Lucille's Kitchen

Peninsula Nights starts on Friday, October 30, eight days after this post goes up. It runs at Lucille's Kitchen from 5:30 to 10 pm. The evening is built around Chef Juan Grande's take on Baja. One&Only says the menu moves "from the land to the sea before reaching the live grill."

Tuesday is about variety on one plate. Friday is a full progression through the peninsula's food. It's the one to book for out-of-town guests on their first weekend, when you want them to taste where they are before they've learned their way around.

Sunday brunch and the anniversary

Social Brunch begins Sunday, November 8, and runs from noon to 4 pm at Lucille's Kitchen. The Visit Los Cabos listing describes the spread as fresh seafood, ceviches, charcuterie and regional cheeses, then Baja-inspired mains, with dessert from Lucille's Café. There is live music, plus activities planned for young children.

That first brunch also marks the club's anniversary. Visit Los Cabos reports that Handshake, ranked No. 6 on The World's 50 Best Bars, joins the opening brunch and supplies an exclusive cocktail menu that runs through the season.

Here is the season's weekly calendar, with prices as currently listed:

Day Venue First date Hours Listed price
Tuesday, Entre Tacos Sala 56 October 20 5:30 to 10 pm 850 MXN, all you can eat
Friday, Peninsula Nights Lucille's Kitchen October 30 5:30 to 10 pm See reservation page
Sunday, Social Brunch Lucille's Kitchen November 8 12 to 4 pm 88 USD adults, 44 USD ages 2 to 12, 65 USD free-flow, under 3 complimentary

The holidays follow the same pattern. Lucille's hosts Christmas Day brunch on December 25 from 12 to 3:30 pm and a Day One brunch on January 1 from 11 am to 3 pm. Thanksgiving at Lucille's Kitchen is listed on the resort's festive program page. Households with family flying in for the holidays now have three fixed dates for gathering.

Lucille's Café covers the mornings, open 7 am to 3 pm. The resort says all ages are welcome across the club.

A club built with the neighbors in mind

The weekly calendar matters to residents because the club was designed to include them. When One&Only introduced Palmilla Social Club in November 2025, the Kerzner newsroom announcement presented it as an opposite approach to the rise of private clubs. It described a place for connection between "residents, members, guests, and travelers alike." In the same release, Sergio Pereira, One&Only Resorts Regional Managing Director, Americas, said: "Our goal was to create a platform that connects the resort to the local community and invites guests to feel a genuine sense of belonging in Los Cabos."

Barcelona-based Astet Studio reimagined the space. Hospitality Design covered the project in January 2026 and described programming that ranged from golf clinics and wellness workshops to art collaborations, markets, book clubs, meditations, tastings and music socials. The dining nights are the part of that idea with dates set for this season.

Booking works like any restaurant reservation. Lucille's Kitchen on OpenTable presents the restaurant as made for Cabo residents and visitors. No membership requirement appears there. Each weekly event has its own reservation link on One&Only's page. The dining team can be reached at (624) 146-7000 or [email protected]. Before inviting a group, check the current details with the venue, because event pages can change during the season.

What is still under construction nearby

Palmilla's other social spaces are still being built, so the Social Club calendar carries this winter almost alone.

El Once. At Palmilla Reserve, El Once is under construction. It's a private 11-hole par-3 course for Reserve Club members and their guests, designed by golf course architect Agustín Pizá and built by Landscapes Unlimited. Each green will have two pins. According to Until The Next Tee, which covered it on October 14, 2026, six holes are expected to open later in 2026.

The Beach Shack and the Reserve Club clubhouse. The Reserve Club's plans include a clubhouse with a racquet center, pools, fitness, all-day dining, a bar and a pro shop. They also include a members-only Beach Shack at Playa Palmilla with a grill and sports bar, decks, beach service and lockers. Both are described as future amenities, and neither has a published opening date.

A new golf clubhouse. A private clubhouse for One&Only Palmilla Golf Club is planned "at the turn," also without an announced opening date.

In the meantime, The Shoppes at Palmilla offers a weeknight alternative to the resort. Señora Cocina, Casa & Cantina opened there on March 14, 2025, with Chef Juan Pablo Loza cooking traditional Mexican food.
